Looking ahead in 2009!
I'm really hoping that 2009 is a shit load better for me and my family than it was in 2008. In the trivial sense, it will be hard to top 2008, what with "Twilight", my fictional boyfriend vampire Edward Cullen, David Cook kicking some Archuleta ass and so on. But, I've got my calendar marked and here are some highlights I'm anxiously awaiting...
- The release of "Twilight" on DVD (March 21st)
- The release of the book "The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide" (no date set but sometime this year, hopefully.)
- The release of the cheesy Edward from Twilight action figure (which of course I'll need two of, one to keep forever in the box for prosperity and the other one to play with and do reenactments with at my desk while getting paid to do actual work) Rumored to be out around February 25th or 26th.
- There's a really nice edition of the Edward & Bella dolls coming out by Tonner this year though I'll not be able to afford it, but a girl can dream.
- Another season of Idol (won't hold a candle to 2008 for me, but I've got a few front runners from Hollywood Week / ie: Matt, Danny & Adam.)
- The release of the sequel to Twilight, "New Moon" (here's hoping they cut back on the boring middle section about Jacob and mainly focus on the Edward parts!) Set to release November 20th.
- I look forward to all the future pictures of Rob Pattinson and all the "wallpapers" of him to add to my huge 500+ collection I already have on my work computer.
Guess that's it. Not a lot to look forward to in hindsight. But like I said, my main concern is the health of my Dad and my dog Colby. If I only get that, I'll consider myself blessed.
Later...

"What The Hell!"
OK, I don't know what happened but I guess I just wasn't "feelin'" the blog thing in 2008. Maybe because, despite the writer's strike, 2008 was the most entertaining pop culture year that I've had in a long time. Therefore I had a lot of other things to entertain me (IE: tv, movies, books).
First, thanks very much to the the writers strike, I was given the luxuary of not just one, but two seasons of Big Brother. Of course the one in February was way more entertaining of the two, but I enjoyed both. Not only that, but I have Showtime Too therefore I was awarded 3 hours of it every night as well. I would actually sit there and watch the people just sitting there. It was odd, and yet, comforting in a way. And most nights, I stayed up to watch all there hours (especially the weird ass stuff the February crew did!) Maybe my sleep disorder isn't just a bad thing.
Then of course there was health issues, yet another reason I was too busy to blog. Stress is a bitch. Added job duties at work for 6 months took a toll on me and but my new motto is, "I used to care...but now I take medication for that." I'm not cured, but it's a lot more liveable. Plus to make up for those 6 months, I'm not doing anything at work for the other 6 months. That way it sort of evens out.
Here are just a few of my 2008 highlights!:

Here are just a few of my 2008 highlights!:
- Twilight (Reading each book in 24 hours. I love Stephenie Meyer's work.)
- 2008 Olympics (I DVR'd it 24/7 and watched everything! More sleepless nights)
- Graham Norton (oh my god this guy is frickin' fabulous. I love the BBC channel on my Dish. If you can catch him, do it. He never disappoints.)
- Twilight - The Movie (saw it the day it came out in theatres and the last day it played in my area.)
- Rob Pattinson (all aspects of this most dazzling man)
- Too many Reality shows to mention.
- Audiobooks (all 4 Twilight ones I downloaded into my iPod which I seriously listen to a minimum of 8 hours a day on a frickin' loop.) I've probably read and heard all 4 books about 20 times each (or more if I'm being truthful) since September '08 when I read the first one. Yikes. OCD anyone? Obsessive Cullen Disorder for sure!)
- American Idol (I haven't enjoyed a season so much since Season 2. I was thrilled that David Cook won. He's got an unbelieveable voice & I picked him from the start!)
So, I'm hoping to post more frequently. Just don't rely on that.
